Two entries from WineTree Vineyards won medals at the 2010 Commercial Wine Competition sponsored by the American Wine Society.  Hundreds of vintages were entered in the annual contest, and Winetree's 2008 Noiret and 2008 Riesling won bronze medals.  The Noiret, a red wine, and the Riesling, a white, are among the 13 varieties produced by WineTree Vineyards.  The winery, which opened in 2008, is on Jesterville Road off WV 68 near I-77.  A retail shop is located at the winery with a second retail shop at 1512 Grand Central Avenue in Vienna.  The winery is owned by Craig and Candy Bandy.  More information is available at www.winetreevineyards.com.
