The Parkersburg Fishing Derby is held every year at the Parkersburg City Park pond and at the Southwood Park pond! Ponds are stocked a few days before the derby and NO fishing is enforced until Derby Day! A few different raffles will be going around throughout the day and there will be concessions at both parks. This annual event is FREE to children ages 3-14 years old. Check in and registration begins at 8am on Derby Day and fishing begins at 9am. Fishing ends at noon for participants and winners will be determined and given prizes soon after! We do not allow solicitors. Please be courteous and remember this event is for children and fun!
