Almost Heaven Swings

In 2022, West Virginia Tourism unveiled what has become a hugely successful initiative to install these fantastic “Almost Heaven” swings at multiple locations around the state. We are happy to host four of those swings in our area and hope that you will make a point to visit all of them.

At North Bend State Park in Cairo, enjoy peaceful views of rolling hills and forest. Take in beautiful Ohio River scenery
from the swing at Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park in Parkersburg. In St. Marys, the Pleasants County Park swing offers wide-open skies and quiet river-valley views. And in Elizabeth, the swing at Sportsman’s Park frames a classic West Virginia mountain backdrop—perfect for a photo.
