The Belpre Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that operates The Farmers Castle Museum and an local history museum with an in-depth exhibit about the Underground Railroad. They have a vast collection of items on display ranging across time periods. Many of the artifacts are from the 1800s, including military uniforms, tiles from the Putnam-Houser House and even a board game that the Blennerhassett family owned! Local residents will especially find this museum to be nostalgic with their collection of Lee Middleton Dolls and other local information. Assistance is also provided for genealogy and local history research.
