Cooking Classes at The Cook’s Shop
Interested in improving your cooking skills, learning a new technique, or just having a fun evening out with friends? Take a cooking class at The Cookโs Shop! Classes are taught by local chefs, cooks and our in-house staff. You’ll receive recipes for all menu items, taste everything that’s made and are encouraged to ask questions throughout the evening. If a class is “Hands-On” it will be noted in the class description, otherwise, the majority of classes are demonstration. Classes are small, just 14 to 16 people, and attendees must be 18 years of age or older (unless stated otherwise in the class description).
Seafood Tapas
- Saturday, May 23, 2 p.m., $70
- Taught by Chef Dagmar Kupsche
- Tapas (Little Bites) are small savory dishes, appetizers, or snacks, often served with drinks. Impress your friends at your next patio party with a continuous stream of Tapas plates! Fear of cooking seafood properly? Dagmar will show you just how easy it can be. After class youโll be able to enjoy a stress-free time with your friends and family at your next gathering! Let’s Play Chicken!

- You guessed it! This class is all about chicken! Pan searing and foil baking will be covered in this class. One of the best ways to cook chicken is in a foil or paper pouch in the oven. It remains beautifully tender and moist! A lot of people shy away from pan searing chicken because they think itโs a tricky process, but it is quick, easy, and tender when done right. So Many Fish to Grill

- Taught by Chef Dagmar Kupsche
- In this class we will grill several types of fish using different techniques includingย En Papillote,ย French for โin a pouchโ. Dagmar will take the mystique out of cooking fish, showing how simple it really is! Class is limited to 14 people. Not My Mother’s Salad
- Wednesday, June 24, 5:30 p.m., $60
- Taught by Chef Dagmar Kupsche
- Dagmar could eat a salad every day of the year! She loves travelling and trying new variations of what everyone refers to in their country as a โtraditional saladโ. In this class sheโll be adding everyday ingredients to salads, hopefully sparking your tastebuds! Class is limited to 14 people. The Many Faces of “Chops”

- Often referred to as the โother white meatโ, pork is a very mild meat that takes on different profiles based on what itโs cooked with. To demonstrate this, Dagmar will be all over the board with different ingredients to showcase the versatility of pork. Class is limited to 14 people. What’s Your Beef?

- In this class, Dagmar will focus onโฆ beef! She will discuss how marinating and proper slicing of meats help tenderize during cooking. She will change a traditional meatloaf into a Mexican enchilada flavor profile! A great start for summer cookingโฆ just add a favorite salad and youโre all set! Class is limited to 14 people.
