As any experienced shopper knows, itβs important to stay fueled for your day of perusing and bag carrying, so start your morning right with a delicious donut from JRβs Donut Castle (Calories donβt count on staycation). At 9:00am, head over to Crown Florals and Gifts to shop locally made soaps, home dΓ©cor, unique gifts, Cherylβs cookies, and much more! Downstairs in the Confectionary you can sample a wide selection of homemade fudge before leaving with your favorite (or favorites). I rarely leave without my Tiger Butter and the Vanilla Peanut Butter Crunch, but sometimes I shake it up with the Toasted Coconut. From there, make your way to Mulberry Lane, WVβs largest country store, and see just how big it really is! On the short list, youβll find Vera Bradley bags, beautiful jewelry, home dΓ©cor, and gift crates. Now weβre off to Scots Marketplace & Greenhouse for some new plants and plant accessories, or some locally made food items, and because youβll need an energy boost at this point, enjoy some ice cream from Sugar Grove. Butter Pecan & Cashew is my new favorite, but Iβve never had a single scoop I didnβt love! Head to the Grand Central Mall for a good ole’ food court lunch and shop at Cardinal Market, Classic Plastics Toy Store, and other local businesses. Back to Downtown Parkersburg, youβll make your way to the Parkersburg Art Center and the PAC 713 Market right next door. Youβll find all sorts of unique items from local artists at the Marketplace. From there, itβs just a short drive over the bridge to southside where you can find an amazing antique store. Bulls-eye antiques has everything from home dΓ©cor to funko pops, classic comics to Yellowstone merch and antique jewelry to baseball cards. On your way back to Downtown Parkersburg, shop locally made bath bombs, bath salts, soaps, lip balms, and other self care essentials at Body Elements. Head back over the bridge for a delicious meal at the Parkersburg Brewing Company before seeing an excellent production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Actors Guild of Parkersburg. This is the BEST kind of dinner & a show!
